Lallana Takes A Massive Leap Forward ! Shaw Impresses !
Wednesday, 5th Mar 2014 21:57

Adam Lallana had the critics raving for England against Denmark tonight as he set up the winning goal.

The Saints fantastic four sat out the first half at Wembley tonight and we had to wait for half time for the first glimpse of one of our boys, Luke Shaw came on for Ashley Cole at half time and despite being only 18 gave a performance that was way beyond his years, the watching ole must be feeling that his England career is slipping away, Shaw did all he needed to do defensively and crucially got forward and put in a few dangerous balls as well.

ut the game was lacking spark and it would be the arrival of Adam Lallana that would provide it, he replicated his Saints form, demanding the ball and not being afraid to turn to the left, turn to the right, Lionel Messi wasn't around but he made a few Danes look Shite, his crowning moment came when he took a short corner, played a one two with Sterling and then after a trademark surge into the box clipped a delightful ball right into that area where the keeper cant come out, the defenders cant get back and if their is a man on the end of it he cant miss, Sturridge was there and he didn't.

Roy Hodgson confirmed that he thought that Lallana changed the game in the post match interviews and must surely feel that he has a man that can change games and that is a rareity at the moment for England.

So a good night for the two Saints on the field, Adam Lallana certainly drastically increased his chances of going, Shaw did his no harm and must certainly be giving Roy Hodgson food for thought, the two who sit out the game on the bench must obviously be disappointed at not getting on, but their chances of going to Brazil are no better or no worse than before, Jay Rodriguez knows that its going to be his League form that will get him on the plane, as does Rickie Lambert, both did not have to watch as a rival for their position impressed so from that point of view it hasn't harmed their chances.

I had to watch this game on the internet; the connexion was terribly slow; the play kept stopping, at times theres was no movement at all, all the players would suddenly stand still. Then Lallana came on and I realized there was nothing wrong with the connection at at all.

Lallana or Rooney? It's a no brainer, Rooney to be Left Back. Left back in England while the Southampton players head for Brazil.
