City Warned Against Complacency

City have now won Nine straight games as they head in to this clash with relegation threatened Burnley but Pellegrini as warned his team against complacency. Burnley, meanwhile, make the trip to Manchester following a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Turf Moor on Boxing Day.

Jovetic could be in line for a return against Burnley, along with captain Vincent Kompany, who has also been struggling with a hamstring problem.

For Burnley Matthew Taylor and Michael Duff are missing with calf injuries and are likely to make their returns sometimes in January. Stephen Ward is also out for an indefinite period with an ankle injury sustained a couple of months ago.

Vincent Kompany is the only possible survivor from the Man City starting line up the last time these two sides met in April 2010.

There have been 37 goals scored in the last seven meetings between Man City and Burnley, with the last four seeing at least six goals scored in each.

Manchester City have won eight and lost none of the last 12 meetings in all competitions with the Clarets.
