Wednesday, 17th Jun 2015 09:03

Southampton FC will kick off the 2015/16 season with a game at Newcastle United with the only thing certain that it wont be a Saturday kick off

Saints will start at on the opening day of the season followed by Everton at home the following week

Key dates will see us play Arsenal home on Boxing Day and Norwich City away on New Years Day.

The last game of the season will be against Crystal Palace at home

Perhaps the most eagerly awaited fixture will be against AFC Bournemouth and we will meet the Cherries on Saturday 31st October at home and Tuesday 1st March away.

Think you may be in a minority of 1 on this. In my book these matches are probably ones I'll skip even 'though being a season ticket holder.

I'm with you Nick on this one. Bournemouth are now a derby fixture. They're not our main rival, but this fixture now has new significance. I also happen think it's pretty disrespectful to overlook their achievements last season. They'll do alright this season, although I'd expect us to do much better.

Regarding the rest of the fixture list I think it is a more balanced list than last year. That'll also help with our European commitments.

Get yourself to the game Saintbrock, it will be a wonderful occasion at St Mary's
They play good football, have a couple of old Saints players and it will be a full house. They also have our future manager.
I think it will be one of the games of the season
