Forster Will Be Fit For Arsenal Game Friday, 2nd Sep 2016 12:03 Saints fans will be pleased to hear that Fraser Forster is expected to be fit in time for the trip to Arsenal in eight days time. Initial reports from St Mary's are suggesting that Fraser Forster's injury that forced his withdrawal from the England squad on Wednesday is of a minor nature and that the England keeper will be fit in time for the trip to the Emirates. Last season's trip to Arsenal back in February saw Forster in fine form as Saints fought a rear guard action to earn a 0-0 draw and with a shaky start to the season Saints will want their number one keeper in between the sticks with respect to new deputy Alex McCarthy. Clause Puel will also be hoping that he has Ryan Bertrand to call upon, the left back was fit enough to be on the bench against Sunderland, but was not brought on to the pitch with Saints needing to try and win the game and put on strikers. But with another two weeks rest and training Bertrand should be a stage nearer fitness than he was a week ago and Puel will be hoping to have virtually the whole squad to call upon in North London Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
