QPR v Sheff Utd Betting Preview

Our usual 'end of week' feature is back as the pundits look for some winning tips in the QPR v Sheff Utd fixture and elsewhere in the weekend markets.

A bad week for the challenger account that is now down to a £42.91 profit, but a good wee for Brian who picked up £140 to reduce his losses to -£106.78. Let’s see what we have in store this week.

Brian Power

Brian O’Driscoll landed us the first try scorer odds at 11/1 and with two non runners it has meant we have taken a dent out of the loses However we also had 2 non runners so it was £140 back for our £50. The French beating Wales also helped keep our 6 Nations bet running so it was a decent week all round

After another poor home result in midweek Sheff Utd are our visitors and they have a great away record at present and I hate to say it but I can’t see us getting anything out of the game so I will put my cash on Leigertwood to score first against either Sheff Utd or Doncaster.

This week’s main efforts surround Cheltenham and four days of top flight entertainment and more Guinness than you can shake a stick at. Kalahari King on the Tuesday is a Ferdy Murphy horse and remember look out for his horses this week. There are two pieces of advice I would give is to look around for bookies concessions as Jennings bet do a deal at present that if you take a price on the day and the horse wins and the SP is better they will pay out at the bigger price. The second and most important is don't chase your loses after sinking eight pints. There will only be one winner probably the toilet bowl.

Enjoy the week

The Challenger

I should just bloody pack it in with Rugby League bets really. “Whatever you may hear from Sky who have to build this game up it’s a none event - always played in this country against an Aussie side taking it far less seriously than our team. Leeds in Leeds as well – I think they’ll do it despite their various knocks,” I said last week. Manley were absolutely sumptuous. Far superior to their English opponent. I did forget to mention that on the odd occasions the Australian team do give a toss it can be slightly embarrassing – I still remember Saints getting nilled by Sydney at Bolton. My first coach to leave bet went west this week as well as James Lowes was put out of his misery at Warrington. Anyway I’ll stick with it and chuck some more money at that, and QPR – well I’ve got to pay for my season ticket somehow.

For the weekend:

£10 Damion Stewart to score first against Sheff Utd 25/1

£10 Sheff Utd 1 QPR 0 13/2

£10 on Shaun Berrigan to score first for Hull FC at Huddersfield 20/1

£10 treble Harlequins (1/2), Bradford (13/8) and Warrington (6/4) to win

An unlikely draw double – Coventry v Chelsea (14/5) and Fulham v Man Utd (5/2) £10
