Be The 12th Man ! Sunday, 13th May 2018 08:48 Saints have had a rollercoaster ride this season but somehow have turned it round to be on the verge of staying up, we can't let them give it away now. Mark Hughes has spoken about how news of goals filtering through from other games, or at least one in particular can't fail to affect his team, this is something that has been a feature of last day scrambles for as long as I can remember, indeed just about the only thing that has changed is the fact that technology means that the accuracy of goals scored elsewhere is a lot better than it was 20 odd years ago when most people in the crowd did not have a mobile phone and had to rely on the odd individual with a radio to relay scores, not always with accuracy. Although Saints are nearly over the line they now need the supporters to keep up the level of noise and support that has been a feature of the last three games. The support during the home game against Bournemouth was magnificent and that was followed by two brilliant displays of support at both Everton and Swansea. With Stoke fans on social media urging their team to lose heavily at Swansea and relegate their former manager Mark Hughes, we now need to step up to the plate and do our bit to make sure that does not happen. Late on in both the Bournemouth and Swansea games the Saints fans kept the team going in nervy late stages and that is needed again but from the kick off, we need to be loud proud and keep the team going if things aren't going completely to plan. It doesn't matter what your level of support is, whether it is singing for most of the game in the Northam or watching in a more sedate atmosphere in the Itchen Centre, just up your normal level slightly and the atmosphere will ramp up a few notches. We can moan about where the season has gone wrong after the final whistle when we have hopefully stayed up, but till then 100% support ! Be the 12th Man !
