Support Peter & Lucy's Saints Foundation Big Bike Challenge
Friday, 10th May 2019 18:10

Once again a couple of our friends are taking part in the Saints Foundations bike challenge and are riding from Huddersfield to Southampton arriving on Sunday, please bung them a few bob as they say

The Saints Foundation has been set up specifically to raise funds for disadvantaged young people and adults at risk. The aim is to reach a £1million fund raising target each year, by harnessing the influence Southampton FC has on people's lives and making a real difference in the community.

More information can be found using the link below

The Big Bike Challenge is back for 2019! The event will see riders cycling 250 miles from Huddersfield Town's John Smith's Stadium to Southampton FC for the last home game of the season.

Two friends of the Ugly Inside will once again be taking part, many of our readers will know them well. and we do our bit for charity by promoting their cause.

First up is Pete Daniel who will be a familiar face to travelling Saints supporters, Pete hasn't much to say apart from the fact after completing the Manchester to Southampton challenge a year ago here he is again and it's a bit farther this time and you can donate too his pot using the link below

Second up is Lucy who like Pete did it last year , she says:

After finishing riding from Manchester City to St Mary’s in May 2018, my Mum asked me if I would do it again next year... my reply ‘absolutely not’.

Guess what, after some short reflection I found myself eagerly awaiting the fixtures to see where 2019 would take me. The answer.... Huddersfield!

On 10th May 2019 I will be leaving the John Smiths Stadium in Huddersfield to head for home (St Marys), hopefully in time for kick off for the final game of the season. I will be cycling about 260 miles over some very hilly terrain (I hate hills!!).

Why am I doing it again?? To raise more money for an amazing Foundation who help the local community in so many ways and provide an outreach and second chance for so many.

You can donate to Lucy via the Link below.
