It may be a bit much for some Saints fans for the club to announce a new ticketing system at a time when they can't actually sell anyone any tickets, but they need to plan for next season and also need the supporters to update their accounts in preparation.

Southampton Football Club will be introducing a new ticketing website and system for the start of the 2020/21 season, in partnership with SecuTix.

A cloud-based ticketing solution, SecuTix will handle both ticketing and hospitality bookings through its SecuTix 360° platform, improving the experience for supporters when purchasing from the club.

Some Saints Fans have already received an e mail telling them exactly what they now need to do and others will receive further communication on how to update their accounts with the new system in the coming weeks, as the club works through a phased launch, with additional developments planned in July.

Matt Silvester, Southampton’s Head of Ticketing, Membership & Hospitality, said:

Southampton will have a phased launch with SecuTix over the upcoming months with Season Tickets going on sale shortly.

It is great news that there is a new ticketing system as to be blunt the old one was appalling in terms of some of the things that you had to do to book tickets which were at times confusing.

So look out for e mails from the club telling you what you have to do to be ready for the change over, it is good the club are being pro active and instigating these changes now whilst it is a quiet period, don't get caught out in the future when you find you can't log in to the new system as you haven't carried out these simple steps now.
