The first new rumour of the day is from Belgium where the media there are claiming that Southampton have been in touch with Club Brugge regarding their Canadian Winger.

Russell Martin has said that he feels that he needs another winger in his plans and that has looked to have been Patrick Roberts from Sunderland, but there could be a twist if a report on insidefutbol are to be belived.

They are quoting a tweet from Belgium news outlet Het Nieuwsblad as saying that 24 year old Canadian winger Tajon Buchanan is a target for Southampton.

Buchanan made his name in the MLS at New England Revolution before joining Club Brugge in 2021, his time in Belgium has not yet been prolific, in the two years since he officially arrived at the club in January 2022 after an initial loan back to the Revolution for the remainder of the MLS season, he has made 42 appearances scoring 4 goals, however he has made an explosive start to this season and that has perhaps stimulated the speculation.
