Official Pre season Tour - USA 15:21 - May 15 with 6956 views | LM10 | Just seen on social media that we are touring the states again this pre season. A two week training camp held in Chicago from july 6th with two games during the tour being against Chivas and Minnesota United. Great oppotunity for our fans to fit in a family holiday whilst watching the super swans in another continent. I was lucky enough to be working out there last time we toured there and managed to watch the San jose Earthquakes game! great experience.

Official Pre season Tour - USA on 08:26 - May 17 by latchford | I spoke to Jenkins at a wedding last year and he was telling me then that the states is a market the club is keen to tap into. Hence our tour this year to boost our exposure. I spend a lot of time over there and the premier league is massive. I think the club is absolutely right to try to make the most if this. The Asian guy we employed to boost our profile seems to be a waste of time |
Don't think anyones disagreeing with that, but surely as a Premier League side we could be playing teams with a higher profile out there?

Exactly. A mid table team from Mexico and a glorified local amateur team. It's stupid. Why aren't we playing one of the big teams in their home states where the attendance would be massive? Can you see many Chivas fans travelling hundreds if not thousands of miles to see the match?

Official Pre season Tour - USA on 10:47 - May 16 by ApeShit | "Since the release of Jose Luis Real as coach in October 2011, Chivas have struggled to maintain form, finding themselves with 6 coaches(Fernando Quirarte, Ignacio AmbrÃz, Alberto Coyote, John van 't Schip, Benjamin Galindo, Juan Carlos Ortega) in the past 2 years and are now in danger of being relegated to the second division for the first time in history. On November 22, Guadalajara put six players in the transfer list for the upcoming season, including Marco Fabian, Miguel Ponce, and veterans Luis Michel and Hector Reynoso. On November 25, 2013, Jose Luis Real was announced to return to Club Guadalajara as head coach. Real showed improvement in the squad but was soon released after the team lost 4-0 at home to rivals Club America. On April 2, 2014 veteran manager Ricardo La Volpe was appointed as head coach. He was immediately released on April 30 supposedly due to having inappropriate conduct with a female staff member who later took legal action. On May 12, 2014, Carlos Bustos was appointed as head coach." Yup, they are on fire. |
