So he gets final say on team selections then, and his contract will be reviewed at the end of the season, if him and Curtis keep us up do you think he'll be our new manager or he'll stay on the coaching staff?

Agreeing to review (ie extend if he impresses) his contract at the end of the season is a sensible move for both parties. I'm glad someone with a track record actually had the balls to back himself to keep us up.

If he gets final say on team selection, who is the manager then? Him or Curt?

Seems fairly obvious that Guidolin is the one in charge. The actual titles mean little.

A very good point. If Huw was right, and no one wanted to tarnish their reputation, then this guy deserves all our support and more. Could achieve legend status in a very short space of time.
Great news. Let's give him a 'Jack B@stard' welcome and hope we can give him a win to start his career off with us.
Welcome Frankie. :-)

As usual he will be seen mumbling unintelligibly through our cup and string pa system about 20 mins before kick off.

To be Frank and Earnest --- sorry Franc and Curtis --I am quite excited about this combination especially with regard to developing our current squad especially the youngsters.

My point being that it's not quite obvious who is in charge?

It's a bit strange to have a manager (Curtis) who has a first team coach that decides the starting XI.

This isn't a criticism - I just haven't seen something like this before. Would be happy to be corrected and have some examples though.

It is face saving by the Board.
They announced Curtis as Manager until the end of the season, so he is.
It would not look good on them to replace him a week or so later, but in effect that is what has happened.
I feel really glad for Curt, he has got his wish along with the rest of us, pressure is off him now and he can concentrate on helping Guidolin integrate in to the club.

They said Curt would be 'manager' until the end of the season, and he will.

He'll be supporting our new Head Coach like he supported Michael Laudrup.

Sounds a lot like Clough and Taylor to me.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

As far as I'm aware he was in an advisory role for Watford et al but was desperate to return to management. As much as i'd like a big name in the summer if this guy keeps us up then keeping him on would the right thing to do.
