Just came across this rumourSwansea in advanced talks with Ryan Shawcross.

Swansea are in advanced talks with Stoke City star Ryan Shawcross, according to sources that are close to the Stoke City captain.
It is believed that Alan Curtis's side are willing to pay €18 million in order to bring Shawcross to the Liberty Stadium.
This morning, club officials at Stoke City refused to comment on speculation that the Stoke City captain was unhappy at Stoke City

Probably a load of bull but if we signed him and he was fully fit I'd fancy us to push for an European place, he'd sort out our set piece play over night and score plenty from corners.
Quite an under a ted player IMO.

We like to play the ball out from the back. Fed already struggles with it. Shawcross is a great physical defender and will probably score a couple of headers, but we would have to change the way we play quite a lot to accommodate him. We are going to struggle if we try to go from Fab to midfield.
