Why we didnt go for players like Mikel or even old croak Diame to fill the DM slot I dont know.
Clem loves playing a tall guy at DM. Could have kept hold of Cork.
Would suggest Clucas best position is DM and play Mesa in front as playmaker and Sanches as no.10.
Clucas is less likely to make mistakes. That is limiting the comments to new players in midfield.
The problem Clucas has is he can fit into a system that has been found out to suck imo.
Allows Mesa and Sanches to colour more. |
Don't get the need for the Clucas signing as in my opinion Jack Cork is a better player so £7 m down the pan.
Many people on here say we are playing him out of position, what is his position if not a DM?

He made a mistake in the last game when he failed to intercept a ball which he should have dealt with.
Unfortunately Mesa made a mistake leading to a goal too, although out of the two it was clear we looked far more threatening going forward with Mesa anchoring the midfield. |  |

Less likely to make mistakes with the ball than Mesa or Sanches. I can only see 2 roles for him ouside the diamond. DM or Left Back.
All playes make mistakes Clucas was on the pitch for longer and we were matches by a tasty enough looking team.

The other ex Hereford lad, Jarrod Bowen, who also ended up at Hull, is a better player.
A couple of years ago we could have had Bowen for free, and prior to that we could have had Clucas for £20,000. FACT.
Jenkins was contacted but never answered. |
Now he's gone for £20 million. Well done again Jenkins.
