“Reports that we have a PPE shortage are inaccurate and have caused concern amongst our residents — we have had to invest a significant amount of staff time reassuring our residents as a result.
“This has occurred during a critical period when all of our resources have to be focused on protecting our residents’ safety and welfare.”
Lark Hill, which is in Clifton, Nottingham, is the largest retirement village in the UK and has 419 residents, ExtraCare said.
It added: “As a result of rigorous infection control measures which include a full supply of PPE, we are relieved to report that no deaths have occurred within the Lark Hill community as a result of Covid-19. Our vigilance, care and concern continue.” |  |

This is also the situation with the Majority of NHS trusts, adequate supply but not mountains of excess ppe.

My friend (who is actually a living breathing person and not a made up figment of my imagination) works at the Dorset County Hospital, there have been approximately 23 deaths and gladly none in the past couple of weeks, at no point in time have they been short of any ppe or ventilator requirements..each and everyone of the poor people who passed away had underlying health issues.
She was expecting the scenes from Italy and spain of patients dying in corridors as was being repeatedly shown by our ridiculous press and broadcasters....but quite the opposite has happened, they have never been so quiet but she is all to aware that there will an inevitable unseen as yet side to the isolation...she is more concerned with those effects going forward. | |
