ITV 4 had on keegans debut against Man City. Had some build up of saints training before the game and an interview with Keegan.
Saints particularly in the first half played some great stuff, channon, keegan and George had great interplay.

Lawrie said afterwards that George had been getting stick from Saints fans. It was a great game as usual Saints dropped a gear in the 2nd half, George did everything but get a goal, he was great. I carried on watching and the next big match had -Saints V Brighton, the game after Watford wacked us 7-1 where Keegan and Channon were out 'injured'. Keegan still reporting for England duty. We got a chance to see some so called lesser stars who really put in a shift and again Steve Williams, what an influential player he was at such a young age.
Football was manky in many ways back then but still belonged to the people and it's interesting how commentators mentioned our packed out attendances, wonder what the skates were at that time
