Main beef was lack of cards, all well and good letting the game flow, high stakes match etc, but you need to 'control' the game at some stage.

One of those games where there's a lot of people rolling around on the floor as if they've been shot, a lot of people charging towards him as if it's the worst thing they've ever seen, making every little decision a big one.

Simmo and I were sat watching it last night, ball goes out of play on 70 minutes and for one reason or another (injury, sub, time wasting, sub, injury, Steve Cook's hole in the head, sub, injury, free kick that takes ages) it basically didn't come back in again for any serious length of time the rest of the night. There were several fouls that should have led to a card that he didn't give - a couple were in added time where Solanke (I think) grabbed a Forest player to pull him back - no free kick or booking. 2 mins later, Solanke did exactly the same again - he did get booked the 2nd time. If he had been booked the first time, he wouldn't have committed the 2nd foul.
Also seemed to give a few soft free kicks to Bournemouth but then ignored the same challenges by Bournemouth on Forest players. |  |

Always say football fans are much of a muchness, but forest fans really do seem to have a particular trait of unwarranted smugness. I live in Nottingham and the pub last night was full of grown men with straight faces saying things like "It's good because now we'll get a trophy when we go up" and "you get more money for going up by the play-offs".

Because they were good in the 70s/80s under generational managerial talent and they take a few away it somehow means that if they’re not at the top table right now they surely soon will be, and rightly so too. No amount of complete shtness or time spent in League One is enough to dissuade them. Some of the stuff The Athletic in particular has allowed to be published on Forest and Derby this year is pure puke. | | | |

Huddersfield for me,Forrest odds on favourites I expect but not sure how many time the favourites have won the final.I think all the teams that go up will struggle and at least 2 will go down as has happened this season and Brentford aren't safe yet so maybe all 3.Not sure what the best solution is for parachute payments if they cut them by 50% as is being proposed it just means the clubs coming up will have less to spend on strengthening their squads so the teams that stay in the PL just get richer so the gap widens. | | | |

Then we went to Blackburn, maybe just about did enough for a point. But then Dieng got injured, Marshall had a flap and it was all downhill from there. |  |

We were still only six points off auto although we'd played a couple more than Scott Parker's Plucky Bournemouth. As you say everyone seems to point to everything collapsing and falling off a cliff once we got into February but that isn't really the case. |  |
