It did frustrate me last night that we didn't try and keep the wingers staying wide for 5 mins and try and stretch the play, we kept coming inside and getting nowhere, needed to vary our play a bit more but part of that has to be the players as well, I don't think our set up is that rigid that they couldn't take it upon themselves to try something different for a few mins. |

Thought we did well first half but the final ball was lacking and the second goal felt crucial, if we could keep it at 1-0 till late we had a chance but once they scored it we fella part really. Kone's goal was good but fair result in the end.
I found Varanes performance a concern in midfield and Vale has been poor for a few weeks now.
The Lloyd injury was so annoying, another one who comes back and breaks down injured again, happens far too often.
Also the headloss man was incredible, what was he so angry about, he was trying to fight everyone, nutcase. |

has happened a couple of times
1928/29 season we beat Merthyr 8-0, Jack Burns and George Goddard both got hat tricks, Goddard actually scored 4
1929/30 beat Swindon 8-3, again Goddard got 4 with George Rounce getting a hat trick
last one was 1964/65, 7-1 win over Luton with Mike Keen and Brian Bedford getting hat tricks |

Is quite a drop for Varane to go from the chosen next golden child to can't get in the team. Would agree he has shown signs recently of improving, certainly trying more forward passes but the difference between him and Kamara is massive at the moment.
I guess with Madsen out he'll get a run in the side so has a chance to show what he can do |

You can't pick and choose which rules you want to follow.
It was cheating, they went into games with an advantage knowing how teams would press, knowing the way they would build attacks so they could anticipate it and catch teams out. What their set pieces would be.
It would be like facing a penalty and knowing which way they are planning to go, gives you a massive advantage.
The man who did all that and bullied junior staff into doing it didn't get any punishment at all. |

The arrogance is incredible. How that manager didn't at the very least get a touchline ban is madness. For a club who embarrassed themselves twice in recent years in the Premier League to be this cock sure that they would have beaten Hull and comfortably stayed up is impressive.
They got away with that spying lark big time when they owned up to the 4 games, that went a lot deeper and was clearly happening a lot more than they admitted to.
They are a good side but I'd love to see us beat them on Saturday |

It was 4-4-2, Smyth played the Burrell/Lloyd role brilliantly and took pressure off Kone having to press which he is not very good at. |
