The biggest concern at HT is that Brierley isn't going to stay under the radar for much longer if he keeps playing like this. His range of passing and accuracy is a joy to watch | |

A good pre-season and adding a bit of strength should see him an automatic starter for us next season. May be a bit early for the scouts to pick up on his now but December transfer window could see him attract some interest. If he can add a few goals to his CV in the first half of next season that will really boost his value. it was a great pass for the goal |  | | |

Their groundsman won the award for best pitch in Leg 2. It looks absolute top drawer considering the number of games played, and like ourselves they play rugby on it too. Not sure if they get better weather than us in Newport |
When Newport were having a run of good cup results (a lot of them televised) a couple of years ago, their pitch was an advantage to them - because it was a right dog's breakfast, a bit like ours prior to the Spurs cup tie
They've obviously spent some money on it since - but then again, they didn't have Bottomley overseeing it

According to the weather stats Newport is 20% wetter than Rochdale. They have had years of really awful pitches and postponements as a result. If you rebuild the pitch and spend the money wisely it works. [Post edited 7 May 2022 16:24]

2-0 Dale and another nice move. Odoh wins a free kick. A few nice passes again involving Odoh leads to him drilling home at the near post. Could have been a few more goals this half. They missed 2 great chances and Andrew also missed one when he came on, putting it wide with only the keeper to beat | | | |
