Transfer deadline day thread 14:10 - Aug 31 with 5980 views | ElijahK | Certainly been some interesting rumours around the ins and outs for us, but we all should know by the end of today of which we’re true and which were the usual medias BS! On the exits side, I’ve heard that Villa and West Ham are going for Bednerak, Bournemouth and Watford are supposedly interested in Stephens, Leicester for McCarthy and that Spanish team for Romeu. With new signings though, I’ve heard that we’ve pretty much got the two city youth players, but what about those PSV and benfica strikers, as well as Maitland-Nile’s and Man U’s Ganer? Anyone heard about anyone else who might be joining/leaving today?

Transfer deadline day thread on 20:53 - Sep 1 with 1254 views | Butty101 | Starting to feel like a bit of a damp squid. From breaking our transfer record on a Dutch super star, to the Man City lads, maitland -Nile’s and the German defender. I reckon 1 will come in , probably the defender

Transfer deadline day thread on 17:38 - Sep 1 by Berber | For what Bednarek has done over the past 12 months, I’d say even JS was an upgrade, but our signings so far have been sound decisions, so hopefully, this lad will be too. |
Sky sports have been reporting all afternoon that Bednarek is having a medical ? I am getting concerned that he has failed the 'beep' fitness test and Villa are having second thoughts and realised how slow he is ?

Transfer deadline day thread on 21:08 - Sep 1 by Bison | Ainsley Cory Maitland-Niles (born 29 August 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder, right-back or left wing-back for Premier League club Arsenal. I think its been a very good window for us , best in many years. |
Yeah it’s been a great window.

Transfer deadline day thread on 22:16 - Sep 1 with 1079 views | Poirot | Somewhat surprised that weve signed more than a couple players today as i expected the financials to be too much. But we look to have done what we wanted to do more or less despite players we want out only going on loan. The owner obviously happy to spend the money.
Transfer deadline day thread on 22:22 - Sep 1 with 1069 views | ElijahK | We’ve just signed the other Man City youth lad now, got the fullback Larious. Also for the other Man City youngster Edozie and have sold Valery, If we can get in this Croatian centre half and a forward player, then I do think that this may be the best transfer window we’ve had in… well maybe even ever! For both who we’ve managed to offload and who we’ve got hold of! https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2022-09-01/juan-larios-southampton-manchester

Transfer deadline day thread on 23:09 - Sep 1 with 1017 views | ElijahK | Also now seems like we’ve signed that Croatian defender, Duje Ćaleta-Car. Although it seems like that’s everyone, which as much as it’s been a great transfer marker, I do worry a bit about our forward line as if A.Armstrong starts playing as a winger/attacking midfield role, then it’s just Mara and Adams that we’ve got up front unless we’ve got some real jem in the youth system that we can rely on…

I think Aribo can play up front if need be. Maybe we are going to play a 4-2-2-1-1 formation, so the view is that we only need one conventional striker up top.
