Ugly inside - Privacy notice
at 10:14 24 Nov 2018
Just seen the new Privacy notice when you connect to this site, which states they value your privacy and then share data with probably 40 + companies, whom they probably have no idea what they are doing with your data (including your IP address - unless you connect via VPN etc).
They don't even make it easy to opt out of all people who can access your data - making you opt out individually.
People need to be very careful to protect their data. None of these companies are infallible. Look at BA, Yahoo, Ebay, JP Morgan, Experian (yes - the same company that sells a service to protect data !) - have all lost personal data.

Jose Fonte - off to China
at 21:11 26 Feb 2018
I think West Ham did well to re-coup £5m selling Fonte.
When Fonte moved to West Ham, he said it was because West Ham were a big club and London was also closer to his wife’s side of the family so they could provide her with more help to raise the kids
I am not sure whether Dalian Yifang of the Chinese super league are bigger club than West Ham, but I do know that moving to China pushes the boundaries of child minding to a whole new level for his wife's family !

At last a bit of fight - well earned draw
at 19:28 30 Dec 2017
Probably best performance this season. We rode our luck but had some very good chances ourselves.
Looked very good going forward.

Anyone else getting fed up with the cladding news ?
at 18:19 28 Jun 2017
Firstly, let me say that I feel for what the people at Grenfell Towers had to endure and those who have lost friends and family.
However, every news bulletin is taken up by a daily update on how much dodgy cladding they have found and what is being done to remove it. It's almost the same news every day.
There are loads of other events going on in the world that we hear nothing about - e.g. ISIS in Philippines, Mosel almost being re-captured, FIFA fall out, Trump trying to be nice to the French, Cyprus unification, pension regulation etc etc.
Grumpy old man syndrome or time to move on ?

British Airways fiasco
at 08:24 28 May 2017
I feel for all those people who have had plans disrupted because of BA's incompetence. Compensation or allowing customers to re-book does not make up for the loss.
This was an accident waiting to happen when BA outsourced its IT to Tata Consulting Services.
I have first hand experience of dealing with this company and was not impressed, although BA are not the only large uk company to put all its trust in outsourcing companies like TCS. The quality and attention to detail is not there and companies often pay for trying to save a quick buck.
I hope the BA customers take them to the cleaners.

Craig Shakespear - Miracle man or snake ?
at 12:58 9 Apr 2017
Leicester's recent revival is remarkable, but if you listen to Craig Shakespear it is all about focus and getting back to basics. He was number 2 at Leicester, why couldn't he have done that when Ranieri was there, if it was that simple ? The players are suddenly putting in some effort because they say they were hurt by what was said in the papers ? Utter B****cks !
He needs to take a good look at what went in during Ranieri's reign.
Chinese takeover article - The Times
at 06:44 22 Mar 2017
There is a small article in today's Times (Unfortunately, it is subscription only - so no on-line link) but here are the main pints in the article :
1.Deal from Lander Sports worth £190m - KL rejected £180m
2.Phased takeover - e.g. Lander buy in to club before full take over
3.KL plans to keep some shares in the short term to maintain stability ?
4.The acquisition exclusivity period ended in January
5.Krueger and Rogers likely to stay in place with Lander reps on the board
There was no mention of Les Reid or any plans around future investment.
Given that UBS Bank have been working on this deal for over a year and the exclusivity period is over, suggests it is imminent.
Kodi - workaround ?
at 09:48 13 Mar 2017
I heard that football live streams on Kodi didn't work the weekend ? I know there was an earlier thread on this but has anyone found a work around yet ?
Players refusing to play and honour contracts - time sort the agents out !
at 14:58 12 Jan 2017
I see today that Payet is the latest to have his head turned and money grabbing agents causing so much grief.
He is another one that was happy to sign an improved contract and months later - is not happy. Some of these players need to show a bit of respect and grow some b****cks and stop pandering to their agents all the time.
Benteke is another one.
I would like to see clubs just let these players rot with u21's. But we know that will not happen because there is too much money at stake. The money clubs pay agents is also obscene.

West Brom - has it really got this bad ?
at 17:00 31 Dec 2016
That was a totally spineless and gutless performance. Not a single player looked interested or showed any imagination on how to break WBA down. It's well known how they play away from home.
1 attempt on target and I lost count how many times Ward-Prowse couldn't deliver a corner past the 1st man.
To top it all we now lose VVD.
Hull - Just a bad day at the office, don't panic
at 16:18 6 Nov 2016
Overall it was a good performance and we totally dominated.
Marshall made 3 top saves and we had a late one cleared off the line. They barely threatened, which made the switch of Yoshida for Martina a strange one. Yoshi didn't do anything wrong , but Martina may have offered more going forward.
Their first goal reminded me of the one we conceded away at Milan, across the box and smashed in by Snodgrass.
