I can't see clubs queuing up for him, unless they get him on the cheap and West Ham will want a big chunk of his wages paid.
Given how he has performed when he has played for West Ham this season and Villa last season, I think he is flattering himself about dropping into the Championship. We are better off without him after the way he left. |

I really don't see this style of passion football working for us, a) we don't score enough goals and B) we routinely get caught playing around with it and conceding. It's fine for teams like Man C who have some of the best players around. I fear that even if Martin does get it working with the team, we will have lost too much ground against the top teams.
Finally why do we keep taking about how Swansea 'nearly' got into the top 6 as if this is some sort of achievement ? |

Is this game really the decider to see who is Number 1 ? Anyone who has been following Saints will know that McCarthy is just not good enough, even as 3rd choice. If Ralf needs this game to decide his number 1, he really does have problems.
Just because McCarthy is more experienced than Bazanu, does that justify putting him in as Number 1 to keep making the same mistakes ?

I would have any of these 'suggested' CB's ahead Stephens. I question the validity of Stephens being only experienced CB if Lyanco and JB leave. Yes, he has played loads of games, but that doesn't make him good enough for Premiership.
He is a Championship player at best, so replacing him with a quality Championship player doesn't seem to be that risky ?
We know what Stephens has to offer, and it is not good enough.

Sorry Pulse and Saidou - Stephens is still not good enough at this level. A few good games hasn't convinced me.
He is still error prone and has problems defending balls into the box or with dealing with attackers running at him, which is what he is paid to do.
He is definitely not even close to VVD and as for progressing as a player, he is 26 and should be almost at his peak by now. I don't think any other premiership club would come in for him if we put him up for sale.

Would be interesting to see the stat on how many goals each keeper let in from out of the box. On a number of occasions I thought Forster was slow to react to efforts on goal from distance, that he really should have got.

I am not sure why you are protecting Fraser F. Yes he made one good save, but juggled one and made a very poor clearance. He had hardly anything to do all game, yet these 2 incidents could have cost us.
West Brom will always try and sneak one goal and then put and extra 4 behind their back 6 and sit back.
I am still a supporter of Fraser, but he does have moments where his concentration lapses and slow to respond. |
