Best transfer window ever? 23:15 - Sep 1 with 1521 viewssuzie

I think so!
Delighted to welcome Duje Caleta-Car at the very last minute!
Too weary to name all 10 newbies but must say a huge thank you to Manchester City 😘😘😘

Poll: Would you welcome Koeman back to the club?

Fair play to the club, to be a bit negative they addressed everything except the striker. I hope Adams doesn’t pick up an injury as he seems central to the way we are playing and there’s no other striker strong enough or good enough in The air is there?

Real shame Romeu has left. Other than that, superb, credit to the owners

Poll: Who do you feel most sorry for

Yes, very positive overall.

Is it only 12 League games until the next window opens?

If so, I guess we can hopefully muddle on through until then.

Che Adams needs to keep fit though.

Little Theo and Redderz can play ’up top’.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

I think we are moving more towards a 4-2-2-1-1 formation.

So maybe the thinking is we only need 1 conventional striker.

The best window ia long time although we do lack a goal corner yet again
I know they come at premium but a crocked Che and we are really in trouble

And did we not offload Theo and Redders?

We have signed a striker.
Let's not forget that's why we bought Mara.
Given time to adjust he could be the answer.
Overall a great window, rubbish out (exception being Romeu, should have kept him) & hopefully better players in.
We will not miss the likes of Long, Tella, Bednarek, Forster , Valery etc.
But we will miss Oriel.
Just wish we had off loaded Redmond & Walcott, hopefully move them on in next window.

Certainly an exciting window. Good to see an established centre back come in, although I can't pretend I've ever heard of him or seen him play.
Bringing in youngsters is great particularly if they really are the cream of the crop from elsewhere.
I'm ever so slightly concerned that we seem to want to recruit players that are "versatile" and play in a number of positions. Generally you are better off with specialists in their position and lots of players have suffered from being versatile and end up on the bench most of the time.
Obviously the icing on the cake would have been a striker but I believe we tried everything to get Gakpo - but if the PSV chairman decides at the 11th hour not to sell there's not much we could do. Personally I hope that means Mara will get more game time than he would have otherwise. What little I've seen he looks a prospect and who knows, if he does well we might not need to find another striker come January.
