Its a bit sad he is not playing at pro level, i always thought there was a good player in there.

Thats a good point.
He made a couple of errors and apologised like a local lad would - but overall i still thought he could do well in the right formation.
14 Cymru caps and the Euros is more than most achieve.
But 31 and Haverfordwest was not something i expected to see.

Timing is important.
Roberts arrived at the perfect time for himself , last few games in Prem, and has not looked back.

In the few games I saw him play in midfield, he looked calm on the ball, used it well, was positionally very good but never quite had the confidence to stamp any authority on the game. Always looked for the easy pass.

I never thought jazz was good enough, a lower league player for me. I don't think he had the mental strength needed. He is/was nowhere near the player Allen is.
On a seperate topic, there are a lot of players going on well past 30 these days but 30 years back when you hit 30 it was pretty much the end unless you dropped down the leagues like Molby did with us. Anybody carrying on to 35 and older was exceptional but you see a lot of 35 plus playing now. | |

Jazz made a half-time appearance at the Hawthorns replacing Painter at left full back and did very well in a 1-0 win during Paulo Souza's tenure.
A busy midfielder who possibly didn't have the necessary qualities that Darren Pratley possessed in that position. Had a good career nevertheless but has lost that yard of pace to play in the Championship while the injuries he has suffered has seen him revert to a right sided full back. Unless it's a wage problem, he could still do a good job in League Two and surprised Newport havn't signed him. | | | |

Funny how people change their tune. I remember the pelters I took back I the day for saying Jazzley was not a championship level footlballer, let alone a PL one. I stood pretty much alone on that. The same as the Joniesta bloke, never in a million years anything above league 2. Having good feet doesn’t make a good footballer. |  |
