Non League Floodlighting Costs on 23:23 - Sep 28 by saintwizzler
How on Earth has it come to this!?
It came to this in 1973/74 when we had an energy crisis, back then games kicked off early so floodlights weren't needed , I skipped off school to watch us play Norwich in the League cup as there was a floodlight ban and so the game was played on a midweek afternoon .
I also remember the club hiring a generator so they could play a night game with the floodlights.
