We needed to bring in an experienced, established player like Ben Mee (Free), Cahill a few years ago (Free) or a Tarkowski etc. Stephens is neither here nor there. We don't have any leaders because leaders are usually experienced players. We don't have any. Brentford have shown clubs like us, how to do it.
Same up front. We needed to bring in a 40 million pound established PL striker that we knew would get goals. Instead we spent 130 million on players that have never played PL football in the whole of their career. None of them are good enough. All these young players for the future come in, and we have ended up playing Walcott as our main striker!!! [Post edited 4 Apr 2023 20:45]
