A conversation with Jake Silverstein ? on 23:50 - May 20 with 1401 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Swansea fans have been calling out leadership as 'classless Yanks' for months. Not exactly classy is it. The North Walians are fawning over their US citizen like giddy school girls. Macilheny is never a Yank. That is because Yank is a derogatory name. Get out now. What for? Some Arabs who have no concept of the value of a £ Million or two.? A Chinese consortium?or another group of 'Yanks'. Yanks are OK as long as they are celebrities it seems.

A conversation with Jake Silverstein ? on 23:11 - May 20 by Treforys_Jack | We are being run as sustainably as possible, that's incredibly important, we at Swansea should understand that more than most. As far as we know zero money has been taken out of the club by these "shysters". They've definitely made mistakes and no doubt will make more. Saying anyone else with common sense is a complete cop out who else is out there looking to put money into a mid table Championship club. It's all about balancing g the books as much as possible. |

Why make promises and then not keep them, the only way they'll keep their hedge fund in Champagne is by getting the club back to the riches of the promise land, they think they can do that on a shoe string, we did it once, but things have moved on at a pace and that fete is far more of a tall order now, we got got people crawling out of the woodwork saying they've got a few dollars in the club at a regular basis these days, so how many mouths are there to feed. We got a minimal chance of getting back to where we'd like to be and its pure delusion to think otherwise, with the growing hedge fund that own us. In my genuine opinion I'd be happy to stay a midtable Championship team, but even that is gonna get much harder with the financial ability of other clubs, or which most seem to be wanting to push on.

Ah the old 'hedge fund' used as a slur of course. Levein and co have persuaded a lot of Americans that Swansea city has plenty of up side. Americas are covering for the clubs deficits and might pay for Piroe's new contract. Who knows?. The Swansea's city fans ownership group is not investing a penny and have not done so for over 22 years. In Covid they offered not a bean. In fact they never will. "Bloody Yanks coming over here and investing money in our club". No one saying than in Wrexham. Perhaps Wrexham's recent history has taught them humility and manners.

It would be to you, do you actually know who own us, cause I don't there's around 6 seemingly main players or which that list keeps growing and we got a Trust that should be overlooking all this, but they couldn't find their arses with both hands and are happy to toddle along on any given match day and look as if they're important and sit in the soft seats and suck on their sausage rolls without a care in the world. The club is a shambles, but hey you keep your head in the sand.

I know that this post was not aimed at me but these are my thoughts. Firstly I don't believe money is being taken out of the club apart from paying senior club hierarchy a small fortune plus expenses, who clearly can't do their job properly. Secondly although I thoroughly agree that the club should be run sustainably, sometimes a little punt wouldn't go amiss. Christmas time we all knew the team shortfalls, nothing was done and we ended up just short of the play offs. Yes we had a bad run, yes the manager made mistakes, but we could all see the team weaknesses and nothing was done. Thirdly what is going on with the club shareholding. There was supposed to be a considerable sum of money coming into the club, we have seen a new chairman with his infamous tweet, but as for cash so far nothing at Companies House apart from the chairman change. And finally I am really disappointed by the lack of professionalism by the owners. Social Media is a sign of the times, but please don't go around embarrassing yourselves and our club. An idiot who was sold an incredibly small % of the club as part of the group. If he has an original £20,000 worth of shares that would only be 0.018% of club shares. Without considering further shares being issued.

We're not far off in opinions then, I just get fed up with the lazy narrative that the pesky yanks are siphoning money out of the club when the actual opposite seems to be the case. Agree about the occasional punt, however Russ hasn't exactly been a resounding success in the transfer market. I think the owners see it as a result if they can get compo, the big question as always is who will they appoint next. If only we had a group of local, Swansea supporting businessmen willing to invest to save us from these nasty Americans....... ... oh wait, hang on a min

Where have I mentioned money has been taken out of the club? you've just assumed that! I'm on about the decision makers when I say that there are around 6 main players amongst the ownership, they could be pulling against each other, Levien clearly has little ambition for SCFC despite what he may spout. I don't have faith in any of them, as for them having taken money out of the club I've no idea, my concern is the actual ambitions for SCFC.

I find it hard to reconcile the dramatic decline no matter what official accounts say. You know any accountants? We as fans have to unite somehow and we re a long way off .

You do know that all EFL clubs have to submit their accounts to the EFL to be audited, by wait for it accountants. Burnley are currently under a transfer embargo for submitting them late.

Of course he doesn't. He also doesn't know that all companies the size of the Swans are required by HMRC to have their accounts independently audited for tax purposes.

We all know or should know, that running a football club with all its overheads is an expensive business and more so when a club isn't particularly successful, those costs have to be covered. I'm not a fan of these owners, in any shape of form neither I'm I a big fan of Martin, but he did an excellent job in those last 10 games, coming from behind in games particularly in that WBA game and its a shame that we won't get the opportunity to see on how he would have done at the start of next season for me.

I can't disagree with much there, I just get the feeling that he'd revert to type as swn as he thought he'd get away with it. He did it last game of the season when technically there was nothing on it for us. I do realise we won, but it's this high risk low reward that truly does my head in.

Why make promises that they didn't keep - presumably because they had decided they were going to sack Martin either before the end of the season or at the end of the season and wanted to keep their money for the new man.
