Some players would definitely have left if martin stayed or not, they will go when the offer is right and just because it's martin it doesn't guarantee they'll go to Southampton unless they cough up a big enough fee.
Martin will not be given 18 months or 2 seasons at Southampton, they will expect to go back up or it's a failure.
We move on, we appoint somebody else and we all get behind him until such time as he doesn't deserve it.
That was the problem with Martin, he had split the fanbase, qute a few of us thought he had failed and that he was too stubborn to make the changes to what we knew had worked (6 wins in 7) and by the time he did....I'm not worrie by him leaving now I am worried about who we replace him with.

It's been frustrating at times but so have I. |
I found it hard when the play was so slow and the suicidal defending was frustrating.
But when it clicked it was good I would have liked some continuity but not to bothered if I am honest.
Just hope we have a plan in place and the additional investment is forthcoming. [Post edited 21 May 2023 19:04]
