I think that Stokes declared a little too early in the first innings. I though5 so at the time so not in hindsight. No guarantee things would have ended differently but going over 400 would have had a psychological effect maybe.
Great test, roll on the next one but Oz have more at their disposal I think. |  |

I agree, with Root in full flow we could have added an extra 20/30 runs I reckon. Gutting to lose like that at the end. Think Lyon v Ali was the big difference, Ali as predicted was not fit enough for test cricket and Lyon is too good.

I like Bairstow, especially as a one-day keeper/batsmen but in a test match, you need a specialist keeper, too many mistakes for my liking, letting Khawaja get away with the first over miss in the 2nd innings, cost them the test match, please note, I said "them" not "us" | |
