I'd pick Foakes every time as the wicketkeeper. There's not much between their test batting average, if you're comparing their batting - but Foakes is by far the better wicketkeeper ...

So very true.
I grew up in the 50s and 60s. Part of that included vivid memories of cricket in and around Swansea which was more industrial ,more working class if you like,than it is even now.
Most parks had a cricket pitch which we used to utilise climbing over the ropes.
Utterly wonderful days as were my days of playing tennis in Dunbvant Park.
