One of our problems under Selles was that every game saw a 3 or 4 changes to the previous weeks starting XI after he had made his 5 substitutions it usually means that the side on the pitch at the end of that game only had 2 or 3 outfield players from that which had started the previous week, there was no continuity from week to week as Selles desperately tried to find a winning combination.
I actually think it is a good thing to only have 3 subs allowed

Yes, it was a shame Selles couldn’t use less subs at Arsenal; we might have won that game and got a crucial 3 points.
