We now have 4 competent Centre Backs at this level.

TBH
Holgate
Stephens
Bednarek

Plus Charles who can play there.

Don’t concede, don’t lose.
That has been our problem for a long, long time.

Don't forget James Bree, not perhaps a possession football player as Martin likes, but he can do a job at this level

Bazunu kept us in the game v QPR

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Also

We kept KWP

We kept Sulemana

We kept Alcarez

We kept Adams

All quality players for this league. I expected Alcarez to stay but not the other three.

It seems that KWP was one who was content to stay, I was surprised there was no real interest in him, that generally means that he has made it clear to his agent he doesnt want to go anywhere so transfer interest is stopped at an early stage

Wonder what happens to that Wood though? As I personally think this transfer windows been… ok I guess, but I’d very much preferred it if we couldn’t brought it/kept one more centre half and one more central midfielder, as I do worry of how little depth we have in those two positions

And for this league we’ve got one. As Bazunu’s yet to make a single major mistake this season, and couldn’t of done much more about the 7 goals we’ve conceded so far

Don’t get how we managed to keep KWP and Alcaraz, as KWP was only in the flipping England squad not that long ago, and was definitely prem quality, who could’ve walked into most mid/lower table teams. Similar for Alcaraz and how good he looked in that second half of last season, as well as how good he’s looked so far this season.
Adams and Sulemana on the other hand, I’m happy we’ve kept, but am less surprised about it. As Sulemana hardly did much in the prem last season outside the Liverpool game, so hadn’t exactly convinced people he was prem quality, and yeah Che sure may be great in the championship, but just wasn’t the same for us, and for what we were asking for, it was quite unlikely anyone was gonna pay what we wanted for him.

But still certainly more pros than cons
