Ages ago an Arsenal supporting mate of mine told me this story about Franny and Bob Wilson.

City v Arsenal in the early 70’s. Lee was City’s pen taker and Wilson had told the press he’d been analysing Lees pen technique and he backed himself to save it if City got a pen.

Anyway in the game City did get a pen, Lee smashed the pen in to score, and ran over to Wilson, by now lying in the mud, and shouted analyse that you c***.

Might be true, might not, but I like to think it was.
