Swansea City are not a failing business. They are a viable ( not so highly valued ) business as five years ago, but to think they would walk away when could bank even 20 million is just not going to happen. They will screw every light bulb out of any sale. |

The time you talk of in the Championship before we got to the PL the club was in ascendancy it was also run on a tight fiscal policy regarding wage structure and we sourced players in a certain way.
Things have changed since those days ....also Brexit has cut off access to "bargains" from Europe.
I don't disagree about Coleman et al but that it what we have mynpoints throughout this thread are how sure can folks be if the petition is successful there will be new owners and would they be any better? [Post edited 31 Dec 2023 11:32]

Yes, a proper CEO. One who knows the English game on and off the pitch and can be left to make the day-to-day decisions with confidence if the owners.
We have a system whereby a figurehead, for the want if a better word, who has no idea if his a football club is run, is controlled by either ‘Dunning or Kruger’ across the pond. They have no experience and that has manifested itself in wrong decision after wrong decision.
It is not xenophobic, merely a fact.
We are on a downward trajectory and it needs halting. The current owners need to know they are responsible and sitting and doing nothing in case they threaten to pull the plug (they won’t) is not the way to go about it. Make our voices heard. |  |

That’s because supporters are witnessing the strategy of selling the family jewels to replace with the unpolished cheaper sort is starting to fail. In terms of players and managers. Coupled with the league position and managerial situation fans are rightly concerned at the direction in which the Americans are taking the club, despite their bluff and blunder.

If those people stopped going it would be a massive dent in the clubs income, how many of them reprsent a famiky where maybe 2/3/4 would stop going?

Why not get the SCST to join in the investment by buying shares.? Welsh people like saying "Show us your cash Yankees".
The SCST own 10% of the club and should pay their way by contributing 10%. If not at least something. £100,000 to sponsoring the women's team for example. Put the SCST logo on the shirts.
There are plenty of excuses.
a) We cannot afford it (false)
b) We are saving for a lump sum (false - the money is not invested so is devaluing)
c) It would make no difference (clearly false. Good PR anyway to boost membership)

Who is going to sell them these shares?
The money must be in a bank account, it must be earning interest. If it is being added to then it is increasing.
