Used to happen, now I can’t remember when I’ve seen one.

We had one against us earlier this season.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

The one where Rushworth picked up a back pass?

How about a free kick for obstruction, can remember the last one I saw? Is it called blocking now?

I will clarify 😂

I’m talking more about one that involves an obstruction in the area, outfield uplayer on player.

I think they changed the football laws a few years ago so that the only time an indirect free kick can be awarded is for a keeper handling a back pass??

Indirect free kicks are generally for offences where there is no contact. Dangerous play such as a high foot or sliding in recklessly without contact. Dissent, things like that. Obstruction would be direct if there is contact but indirect as in someone obstructing the gk kicking out or someone taking a throw etc.

I think Keith is right to say that obstruction doesn't seem to be given as often now, even outside the box. One saw it regularly years ago at both professional and amateur level - have an image in my mind of ref standing with one arm raised vertically.

Also reckless or dangerous play, dissent, stopping play for any offence not covered by the Laws of the game.

One OFFENCE which is NEVER punished these days is goalkeeper holding the ball for more than six seconds.
