The objective this season has to be to avoid relegation as it should be for a club of our size every season.
Whilst we are not cut adrift from safety the manager should stay.
Once the gap to safety starts to widen questions should be asked of the manager.
With away games at Arsenal and Man City to come in October the games versus Bournemouth, Leicester, Everton and Wolves become huge.
I would take a point at both Bournemouth and Wolves, but the Leicester and Everton games need to be won or a change of manager is needed.
11 PL games gone by then.
That is enough time to see if Russell Martin is up for the job.

Hopefully if (and I hope it doesn’t happen only because if a manager is sacked it means the team isn’t performing) Martin is sacked then the powers that be employ a decent manager unlike the two fűckwits Jones and Selles.

I would be chatting up Moyes and Potter’s agents very soon.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Totally agree.

If the replacement is going to be another championship manager punt, then you might as well stick with Martin. However Moyes or Potter would be game changers.

Well, what do you think, based oin their recent track record? And if we did get someone good, they would sell him to the first bidder. Or am I mis-judging them?

Potter has given interview today to Telegraph stating he is ready to return.

Extract from interview:

“I’ve felt ready to return for a little while. It still has to be the right thing, but I’m excited for it. I’m excited to hear what the opportunities are and I’ll take each one and judge it on its merits".

This. Just as well keep Rylan unless there is someone coming in that can knows what the PL is about and how to set a team up to survive.

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......
Poll: Where do we think Dibling will be plying his trade next (2025 / 2026) season??

Thankfully captain Jack is available for selection tomorrow and will automatically be slotted into the team somehow, somewhere.

edit : praise the Lord, just checked & he misses this game. Hallelujah!
