Protest tomorrow 08:11 - Mar 14 with 916 viewssaintwizzler

So there was talk of a protest against the owners tomorrow (Saturday 15th) at The New Ted Bates Statue commencing at 2pm.
Is this still happening?
Or will the lure of the fanzones and singing songs about Pompey getting battered whilst wearing a skintight advert for Rollbit be too much?

Asking for a friend from Hedge End with tight pores.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

To quote Marlon Brando in the 50's classic film The Wild One

"What are you protesting against ?"
" What have you got"

If you are going to have a protest make it well organised and know what the issues are against, getting relegated doesn't mean everything is poorly run, Ipswich & Leicester are well run clubs and are going to go down with some of the worst points totals for instance.

What are the root causes of the problems we are having ?

Lack of investment ? No we can't really say that.

Poor signings ? Maybe but Mateus Fernandes, Aaron Ramsdale and Big Les were good, the rest used sporadically

Poor leadership ? Definitely in terms of the managers of the past 2 years or so, alll failed to bring in a leader in the team and chopped and changed teams.

Poor leadership off the pitch ? Initially, but Jason Wilcox steadied the ship, his departure was a big factor in what has happened over the past year, we didn't replace him till last month and now we have we have to wait and see.

So what it comes down to is "Sacking the board" that is a little more difficult, you can't sack an owner, he can do two things, sell up as you want him to and then usually you end up with someone worse or he just stops investing, in which case you are looking at the club sliding towards administration as Pompey found.

This is not an advert for the ownmers and how well they are doing, it is asking the questions, any protest needs to know what it it trying to achieve.

If our appointed leaders Saint Rob and Football Martin are not marshalling their apostles into the frontline, then frankly I’m out.

£100m is indeed investment.
It buys 3 PL standard players.

Unfortunately Sport Republic bought 10 players with it.

And how much have they blown on crap managers.
Russell Martin gets some grief but he did his job and got us out of The Championship.
His replacement. Well nuff said.

You’d of thought the owners would of learnt from the Jones and Selles mistakes.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Yep, Martin has to be classed as a success. Given hindsight, we either had to sack him in September or not at all.

Jones, Belles and Juric are all poor choices at the top level.

I am not convinced about Wilcox, or whether his heart was in it for us (I doubt the United offer was completely out of the blue) but good luck to the new fella. Someone has to take some accountability soon, and I think fans deserve some answers.

I strongly suspect any “protest” would just be a damp squid.

I would say the only answers we will get are how much Season Tickets and Match Day Tickets are to be next season in The Championship.

They’ll be announced the day after we are mathematically relegated.

I don't think any protest will achieve anything. Just write off this season, then see what SR during the close season if nothing improves then the real fans can start the campaign (all the tourists will not be coming)
