Labour to increase basic rate of income tax by 2% 22:50 - Oct 29 with 5364 viewsPatfromPoole

Seems to be the big story in the news.

Difficult to see how Labour win the next election if this happens.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

Farage would shit himself if Reform ever won the election.

He would stand down the day after.

He has never been in government, and hasn't got the foggiest idea of how to be in government.

He is the politics version of Redknapp. Absolute charlatan.

And there's always the chance that at some point, if there were some journalists that weren't just client journalists, he may be held accountable for things he has said/preached. Hasn't happened yet, but it might.

You are describing the Bourgeoisie. Will make a Marxist of you yet Jelly.

Haha makes me laugh when people suggest I sound Marxist. I guess if my Christian, conservative libertarian views sometimes align with Marxism then that is fine.

I don't play the left/right politics game, as the Conservatives don't conserve and Labour don't do labourery things, so it's clearly all fake.

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

You’re talking extreme nonsense as usual. Who do you think was the major force behind Brexit. Yes unfortunately the major parties, especially Boris, screwed up the implementation.

Continue voting for the failed parties if you must but don’t expect anything new to happen.

The major force behind Brexit?

History will show that Obama was pretty influential.

As soon as he said that leaving the EU would be madness, it added a few million votes to the wrong side.

The problem is, again as seen in this thread, people just write God help us if Reform get in or the country is finished. So rather than just saying that, consider why. Reform are currently on 27 per cent of the vote. If there was a general election tomorrow according to these polls, Farage would be PM and Reform would probably into coalition with the Tories. So rather than dismissing it, perhaps it would better to express why this is the case and what we can do about it? Why have a significant number of people said they would now vote reform? They arn't all racist and talking boll@x. There are reasons and they feel fed up of being lied to by all of the major parties. They said they would tackle the smalll boat gangs and they haven't. It was a lie.

I voted Labour last time. I didn't expect the winter fuel payments to be taken away, then an attempt to take money away from the disabled, to ban 70 year olds from driving unless they see a doctor, people continuing to come into the country on boats (they said they would tackle the gangs), tax rises about to.come, a ban on how much sugar I consume, and then ID cards, so the government can check my every move. None of this was in the manifesto. And then the Tories don't have any answers either. And the Greens, who think anyone can call themselves a woman and we should all agree.

There are lots of problems that need sorting. It would be better for people to just accept that amongst other things. If this Labour government do not get a grip on immigration, people will turn to Reform. That is just what will happen, whether we like.it or not.

Reform is a protest vote.

As was Brexit.

The problem is when that vote wins, you get carnage and years down the line, the ranks of the less intelligent say “we didn’t realise what we were voting for”….

Well, he's the only one who's realistically trying to stop it. Come on, if he does manage to get a permanent peace (which is very slim) you'll start to love him
