Does anyone know what's happened to our pitch?? All along the Stan Bowles Stand it looked like it has been under water since the last game. It's in a terrible state. Bit of a worry that we are going into the winter with it like this.
In that announcement it says "The club are working hard to improve the pitch following a period of adverse weather."
Haha! One of the driest periods of a winter I can remember. All the race tracks in the UK are racing on ground classified as “good”. You never see that at this time of year.
Why can’t they just be honest with fans? Bad contractor? Infestation? Whatever it is, explain it and say “We’re trying to rectify things as best we can as we acknowledge the pitch has fallen below an acceptable standard.” Wouldn’t that bring more trust and respect??

you have to give them a pass on this, I mean who'd have thought December would see cold and wet weather. You can't plan for these things :-)

Unfortunately, lies and manipulation have become par of for course. As the saying goes, can’t trust them as far as you can throw them.

The stench of weasel from this is hard to bear.* I'm in 'S' mid way up the rows. Very noticeable at the Leicester game 20/12/2025, I did not see this for Birmingham 09/12/2025. So happened in between?
Apparently the metoffice guard historical observations as if they were oil and Trump was coming over for a chat. But from what I can find, min. temp over that period was about 7C with bugger all rain except for the 18/12/2025.
If you're gonna bullshit, then at least make it hard to tell.
*Perhaps harsh, but I've spent at least 2 hours on the phone this week dealing with "customer support" folks who just straightup lie

Virgin Media? Because they are straight up liars, the worst.
our pitch, a harrowed plough be thy name, thy see no sun but soak in rain, be uneven as we trespass to flatten the divots, holes and bare patches give the grounds person thy daily seed as they try to regrow the dead , forgive them they poor job as we fans cannot and lead them not to astroturf and cinders but hope for a new laid surface asap!

Bless you my son - sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. A rendition of “we plough the fields and scatter” would be fitting.
Its a weird one. You go look back at the WBA highlights and the pitch is fine bar a couple of yards on the Stan Bowles side, which has always been the case down the years.

Under soil pipes leaking?
Just trying to give them some kind of OUT here, hope you realise 😊
I sent a photo to my son at the friendly on 26th July of how poor the pitch was looking but that was the area in front of the Paddock and the Loftus Road end.
