| Our Pitch 20:41 - Dec 20 with 9542 views | QPRsince54 | Does anyone know what's happened to our pitch?? All along the Stan Bowles Stand it looked like it has been under water since the last game. It's in a terrible state. Bit of a worry that we are going into the winter with it like this. | | | | |
| Our Pitch on 10:20 - Jan 2 with 1091 views | daveB | From behind the goal it looked like someone had driven over the pitch, was huge dents in the pitch by the penalty area. No excuse for how we played but it didn't help either side. | | | |

Does this mean we might never see our friendly neighbourhood squirrel again? It used to be the most entertaining thing on the pitch.

Yeh looked like somebody had pulled doughnuts on it didn't it? Presume that was moving the electric lights. There were also weird sort of circle patches all over it where it looked like somebody had dug it up. If we get one the dreaded 'named storms' in the next week or two that's going to be a quagmire.

Looking at the close ups from the match gallery it looks like the artificial strands are the only bits left...

| Our Pitch on 13:57 - Jan 2 with 542 views | Hunterhoop | How on earth can the club oversee such a state of the pitch like this? Presumably the contractor that refurbished it all is being taken to task and the contract with them includes warranties or financial penalties which we’re recovering some money through? It’s been a very dry winter so far. There really isn’t much excuse. When watching highlights I don’t see any other pitches in this state. The obvious thing right away is to move all non-first team games away from LR to allow it to recover somewhat… | | | |

Blackburn have on-going, severe drainage and waterlogging issues. It's so bad that their manager, Valerien Ismael, has offered to sacrifice transfer funds for a new surface!

Ha! Fair play to him. They are a basket case of a club though. Shouldn’t be comparing ourselves to them as any standard.
