Good shout. By virtue of openly backing Eckert and letting it be known he has lawyered up, Solak is saying to the FA "ave a swing mate, if you think you're hard enough"
I have never been as critical of Solak as some on here. It's worth remembering that he became the UBO by being persuaded by Ankersen and Kraft to invest money in their SR vehicle that made the purchase of the club. As is typical he was appointed Chairman but even he wouldn't claim to have been "hands on".
He has continued to pump in cash since and frankly has had close to phuq all ROI, due in no small part to the piss poor recruitment of coaching and playing staff made by the Club Execs.
He is a Serbian billionaire aka a streetwise hard nosed businessman with friends in high and low places. He has a vast portfolio of investments and can only lend so much band-width to any given one. Now it's our one's turn. He has walked on to the shop floor.
Message from him is simple..Eckert manages...do what it takes to retain the core of the 21 game winning squad at all costs and present a united front..get us promoted.

My feelings that Dragan was simply a murky behind the scenes money man shot to pieces.
Since he took over the role as Chairman, and took a more hands on approach things improved dramatically.
He has obviously taken the club and city to heart and his affection and drive should see us thtough this tough patch and on to greater things. The future is bright and its Red and White with the occasional splash of yellow. ❤️👍💪 |  | | |
