I have to say I'm quite surprised there isn't a thread on just how well he hit that with his weaker foot.
It didn't even look like a strike on someone's weaker side.
99 times out of 100 that's going in row Z.
Dunne's against Brum was similar (using his left) but Smyths looks even more impressive from the main replay angle.

Definitely hit the sweet spot, if thats not too inappropriate to say in todays PC world !!
Again also, I think Paul Smyth is such a massively underrated player with skills and an engine that have propelled him to a decent standard of football performances consistently and definitely a great presence in the dressing room. And like with Dunne, do hope he remains here for the majority of the rest of his career going forwards.

Man on the edge of the box for a corner, not marked, not charged down, and no one near him; remember they had an extra man too. Criminal by PNE, and they are an L1 team in waiting. Worse than Oxford last season.
But Smyth did the correct approach, hit it with the nearest foot, kept it on target and walloped it hard.
Notice Smyth is scoring more often; last season and so far this season, his goal-scoring is looking good.
Maturing as a player and for a squad Champ player, he's really good.
He should play for NI, I don't understand why he does not get more caps for them. |  |

Hang on you mean exactly the same type of defending we have conceded goals from for how many seasons ? How many goals have we let in in that exact way over the years , if. Bloody trademark of ours in fact it’s y’all’s somebody who’s never scored for the club will prob never score again fro the club again , and hes it was a damn fine hit the litttle change in pace made it for him.
