WTAF was that all about? I have watched it back and it’s debatable if Jack comes from an offside position? He is beyond the keeper so not sure he can be Then the fkn Lino stands there for 30 seconds clearly communicating with the ref and then raises his flag?! How can that be? The linos in the championship are beyond useless

It was very clear that Stephens ducked to make sure he wasn't interfering with play. There was no offside.
The delay was as bad as a VAR one. The goal sign went up on the scoreboard and everyone was celebrating. Even all the QPR fans thought it was a goal. They were as surprised as we were when it was eventually disallowed.

Aren't we now supposed to say these decisions even themselves out over a season?

They do..
And we won 4-1 so relax.
The issue is that the ref is perfectly within his rights to overule the lino BUT he must not be allowed to perform the role of a human VAR system involving a 10 minute chat with him.
Old school says...immediately overule...blow for free kick and run towards the centre circle...any player running after him chirping wins the prize of a yellow card.

I've just watched it on the highlights probably 3 or 4 times now, and who'd be a ref! VAR would probably have told him to review on the monitor and passed the buck! But the lino - just a yes man
