| Welsh NHS 13:04 - Nov 2 with 1932 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I have found the NHS to be very good in my experience but it is coming under a lot of criticism and so is the Senedd. Tha people can complain but if they want better services they will have to pay more. We have in global terms a cheap service. The cost of private health show you how expensive these provisions are . Pay more get a better service We in Wales can get better funding with a swipe of a pen. We gave fallen behind England and need to catch up . Around £624m would be saved by abolishing FREE PRESCRIPTION CHARGES.. Want the same service? Then get in with it. We are a democracy. It is about £20 a citizen. Older people in properties with £250k plus fully paid off are pleading poverty. [Post edited 2 Nov 13:07]

| Welsh NHS on 22:17 - Nov 6 by ReslovenSwan1 | You blame the Senedd for the NHS woes. You usual loaded answer is perhaps illuminating. So why d we have these woes? We have big problems in the Welsh NHS . Could the reason be the same reason for why we have Free prescription charges?. In your words "Wales has an ageing population whom a lot are living on low income". We also in mid Wales have aging English migrants putting a strain on our social services. Reform will tell you Wales cannot run its own affairs. Eluned Morgan said we need more money. Just like you do. In my opinion pensioners should have more money than younger people. They do if they are allowed free prescription charges in a fully paid off property with an average house price in excess of £270,000 or so. It nice to debate but many on here cannot do it without slurs and a tendency of the "old school regulars" on first name terms to join forces and put the boot in. Put your silly flag away. Try standing on your own two feet. Another little gem form Ai Around 78% to 79% of people aged 65 and over in the UK own their own home. • Outright Ownership: The vast majority of these older homeowners own their properties outright (around 74% of pensioner households have no mortgage remaining). This means around 80% of people needing to pay £100 per month can cover it no bother at all . Let debate. UK pensioners are loaded but hoarding asset value for fit youngsters that do not use the NHS much. NHS woes? Blame the medical professional and the Senedd. No free up the massive asset values tied up in property kept for little Johnny. Average house price UK £280,000. Flats probably £150,,000. [Post edited 6 Nov 22:35]

What on earth are you talking about. That is just a series of soundbites without substance.

Get yourself off the NHS then . You are just a burden and taking up appointment time for the needy who from no fault of their own have no money.

Listen to me you patronising tw@t. I stand on my own two feet very well. Maybe you should have deduced by now that people say the same things to you because we all can see you for what you are. You’ve answered nothing in your reply. You’ve not challenged my opinion (which is the main reason it is available in Wales) that free prescriptions reduce the burden on the NHS and prolong lives. All you seem to go on about is how older people can afford it. Because they haven’t got a mortgage? A debt most have taken 25+ years of hard work and sacrifice to pay off. And a £250000-00 house is meaningless as you can’t live off bricks and mortar. I suppose you’d have everyone selling their home to be able to afford medicines to keep them alive. You’re an insufferable bore. Do us all a favour!

I know you are thick, but get this every time a working person goes to an NHS dentist they have to pay a fee towards their treatment or check up, you who knows everything, but who actually knows the square root of naff all, should know the above, I've been an NHS dental patient for longer than you've been a burden to the sheep you keep chasing. You are just an attention seeking antagonistic nobody and posters including myself find you a poster that brings amusement to this forum, so keep amusing us all.

Great post, it wasn't long along hat he was bragging about moving into his new hovel and bragging about living and working in many countries and the shares he's got here there and everywhere and the dividends he earns from those shares and yet here he is trying to antagonise older people, but when you think about the above he's probably older than most of us. He's just an attention seeking antagonistic bone head, and hasn't got the intelligence to realise that posters can see right through him.

Exactly, but I refer you to the last sentence of my post above, that reminds me I must ring the dentist for an appointment on Monday morning, I probably will have to wait 6 weeks or more though, doh! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The more he posts the more people can see exactly how ridiculous his posts are. He is doing the valley community no favours as most are lovely intelligent people, but it only takes one bad apple.
