Options for West Brom... 15:29 - Oct 2 with 4551 views | The_Mole | Go to the Hawthornes with a system that works and implement it from the start - not the 75th minute! We clearly don't have the defenders at present, so take the game to the Baggies with an attack minded side... That means, playing Faurlin, Granero and Park as a midfield 3 and allowing Hoilett and Taarabt free roles to support Zamora? I'd also have to question Cesar's performances of late - bar the Chelsea game he has looked very nervy and last night was simply embarrassing! If Green was dropped for less, then maybe Cesar needs a spell on the sidelines to re-think his game-plan?!
Options for West Brom... on 20:47 - Oct 2 with 973 views | YorkRanger | This message board goes from bad to worse. Now we're blaming Cesar. Honestly I've never read such nonsense in my life. He has been outstanding. Didn't dive for Faurlin's deflected goal at Spurs - what about the 3 first class saves he made. Two saves in the second half last night were outstanding and kept us in the game. The second goal was deflected and I'm not sure he could do anything about the first. Also his kicks went over the half way line....(Clive) Insanity.

Options for West Brom... on 16:50 - Oct 2 by The_Mole | My thoughts exactly! I like Cesar, I do, but as a goal-keeping coach, I feel i'm in a position to criticise the above points... Cesar is a great shot-stopper but the above points show he loves to flap and isn't quite the finished article yet. |
And as a multi-time championship title winner, voted 3rd best keeper in the world, and a champions league winner, i suspect he'd tell you where to stick your 'goalkeeping coach' opinion.

Options for West Brom... on 19:32 - Oct 2 by AgedR | What nonsensical prattle. Ceasar hasn't flapped at anything since he's been here, and the comments about not diving for Ale's own goal...it's just twaddle. What about the calm and assured manner in which he distributes the ball? What about the way he cleared out three men, when punching a corner? What about the magnificent save he made on to the bar? What about the fact that he's only played four games and looks the real deal?...no, let's concentrate on make believe faux pas. He is quality and so will we be when the back four settles and we are not forced to chase a game at home. We have had two bad results this season and on both occasions we conceded relatively early goals. We were excellent against Spurs and Chelsea, but, let's not look at the positives, that might actually require something other than knee jerk postulating. While we're at it let's say Hughes is a tactical pigmy, there is no team spirit, Samba is depressed, Mittal is off, Warren Farm has hit a snag, the hoops are too skinny, Mackie has no first touch, we give too many tickets to away fans, our home fans are are seated in the wrong place, the badge is too flowery, Stan didn't play enough for England, the Tories are governing without a mandate and TF's Malysian connections are dubious. Better still, let's all go and become Spurs or Blackburn fans. Clive, is there anyway you could encorporate a button for posts, ala Facebook, that we can tick, which simply says 'Piffle'. |

Options for West Brom... on 23:05 - Oct 2 with 922 views | Neil_SI | I think Cesar can be really pleased with his contribution so far, it's not easy to come into the Premier League and have to adapt to such a different way culture of football so quickly. Yes, he's not looked as comfortable with crosses fizzed into the box and across the face of the goal, but then, nor do many keepers actually. It's here where he will be tested, but last night, the goals, well, if you're going to allow players time and space to cross it into the danger area and then let them shoot at such close distance, it's always going to be a lottery for the keeper on whether he can do anything about it. Some of his saves have been sublime and others unorthodox, and I enjoy the way he distributes the ball to the defence. I've not made up my mind about his kicking though, he certainly has a particular style and so far it's not caused us any issues. I just wish he was a few years younger, because he could be the sort of keeper you wish you'd have around for a long, long time. All in all, it's a pretty assured start and he'll have definitely had his eyes opened by the Spurs, Reading and West Ham games, each which offered something a little bit different.

Top post. It gets really depressing reading some of the stuff on here..... why is it so many people can't wait to talk so much when things might not be going too good? Surely nearly everybody on here has followed the club more than 5 minutes and KNOWS that the manger needs time...... that chopping and changing managers is NEVER the answer. Just chill out, the club is changing from top to bottom but it all takes time. And we are hardly cut adrift at the bottom. And while I'm here why is it that every QPR fan that rings talksport, that I've heard in the last few days, is saying sack Hughes and he doesn't know what he is doing? I know these radio shows shouldn't be taken too seriously but surely that's not the general feeling among the supporters? Is it? I really hope not!!!!

Options for West Brom... on 08:42 - Oct 3 with 847 views | Lblock | There is only one option for West Brom.... It involves an early train from Marylebone and lot's n lot's n lot's of beer. This season could be a disaster or a triumph. I've decided however that when I am asked about it in 20 years time I will be able to ramble on incoherently and say at the end "I'm sorry I've no idea... I was very, very, very drunk at the time"....

I'm as annoyed as anyone about Monday nights performance bur some of the stuff that's been written on here since is unbelievable! I'm sure there wasn't this much hysteria on here when we were losing 5-0 to Southend on a Friday night back in the day and I'd say we were in a slightly stickier situation back then!

I see the The_Mole has been fishing again and some of you have been hooked, lined and sinkered!! Especially AgedR - ha ha ha.... Just for the record, Cesar is a top keeper, but anyone who thinks he wasn't to blame or partly to blame for the West Spam goals is sadly deluded. His positioning was awful - no wonder Rob Green was laughing!!

Options for West Brom... on 20:22 - Oct 2 by Jigsore | I have to say that's a good idea. A 4-3-3 would be ideal with Zamora at the front and Hoilett accompanying him on the right and Taarabt straying left but essentially getting a bit of a free role because that suits him. |
