....thought i would pose the question of 'when was your favorite era of watching Saints?'
A tough call in some respects but i suspect a lot will suggest the L1 / Championship years whilst others whom are of slightly older persuasion might say the 80's when we we runners up etc...and when football was still almost a working 'mans' (am i allowed to say this?) game.
For me i have to say that the recent successes we have had following our close demise is right up there but (possibly due to my age) i have to say i loved the 90's at the Dell. Yes, often a relegation scrap, but the tightness of the Archers along with the never say die attitude did it for me. I am old enough to remember the Lawrie Mac years but being blunt i was still pretty young to appreciate what a side we had then.
Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......
Tell you what Salisbury, being a Saints fan is a damn site better that being a top 6 fan where success is almost always guarenteed and expected and outside of that is suicidal
Much prefer the ups and downs of Saints without all the tourists who don't know about the lower divisions with those top 6

Pardon me, but on your thread about 'Is life all that' you state you are 27. So how did you manage to get into games in the late 80? Could you see the game through your old mans sack?
