The Premier League and Sky.....the day the demise began.
Don't get me wrong we have seen some wonderful 'safe' stadia built, quality Foreign players but sadly the benefits have been far, far outweighed by the downsides. Names on shirts, transfer fees and wages totally out of proportion to the real world, clubs overspending to reach the promised land, plastics everywhere that have never been to a game in their lives, greedy agents......need we go on?
Wonder in all seriousness if we did a poll nationally how many fans old enough to remember the 4 traditional divisions would vote for the game pre 92 or post 92. I am just an old fÄrt and appreciate that others might say the game had improved dramatically. Give me the spit and sawdust years anyday. |  |
