VAR 19:01 - Feb 23 with 1553 views | MattFinish | When are we going to get one go in our favour? Okay I think both decisions were correct tonight but what the F***s that got to do with it. How many incorrect VAR decisions have gone against us? We can't compete against 15 men every game
VAR on 21:27 - Feb 23 with 1479 views | MattFinish | Let's not make light of the effect that the VAR decisions are having on the team. However professional the players are, when we're getting 2 VAR calls going against us every game it's going to take an effect

You're dead right there, Matt. Every time one of those big VAR decisions goes against us, you can see our players heads drop as they think, not again. The cumulative effect of them all is definitely taking its toll on team morale and, of course, conversely, it gives a huge boost to the opposition.

Agree Dirk and Matt. Tonight the decisions were correct but the players on the pitch would not have known that and because of the previous bad decisions against them they will have thought, here we go again. In Rugby it is shown on the screen, the conversation is heard between the official on the pitch and the VAR official watching the screen. Everyone can hear the discussion and how the decision is made. Now whether players (and fans) would still accept a decision is a moot point. The discipline in football and Rugby is somewhat different.

It’s no excuse for our constant failures in the second half of games Yes maybe it’s affecting the players a bit but it doesn’t excuse ball watching or poor keeping We need to snap out of this quick or Man City could be horrible Ralph needs to bang some heads together, I like him but I am wondering if he is too nice guy

When Mason gave the goal - I was thinking what complete utter bollocks because there was NO difference between that and our goal at Leeds the other night.

We need to bin all of our refs off to Spain or Italy and take theirs instead. There isn't anyone left in the country that's capable of refereeing a game FFS...

The problem is the little clique of old referees, especially Dean and Mason. They've always been biased in favour of certain teams and have become increasingly arrogant with age but before VAR, they got away with it, as it passed largely unnoticed or was taken for granted. Now, it is coming under more scrutiny. You can see that the younger referees try much harder to be fair and get things right. They should bring back the retirement age for referees. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/lee-mason-decision-wba-brighton-235 [Post edited 27 Feb 2021 16:44]

If there needed anything else to mark the death of football, this incident epitomized it. As well as the farce that went on, there was a ludicrous only 4 minutes of injury time given.! The delays of that incident alone was more. It's as if the 4th official was trying to not put more attention on the joke of the decisions/delays.
