Seriously i get it, but boy do a lot of clubs now have simpletons for fans.

Just take Arsenal as mentioned, these fans want Kroenke out and are quick to say they want an owner that 'cares' and someone who will 'pump money in'. FFS get with the programme, most clubs nowadays don't have owners that are simply happy to keep throwing the kitchen sink at it as it is a business first and foremost. If a club gets an owner that has some sort of allegiance to the team that is a massive bonus, but there are very few now that can afford to keep throwing their own cash at it. The main issue is that the players have been offered such huge contracts that means you need to have gazillions to cover the costs of running things when it goes to rats ala Covid.

Another mong was on Twātter saying how the Superleague had to happen as clubs like Barca had to make sure they could pay for all the best players such as Messi. This twerp for one minute could not comprehend the 'don't buy if you cannot afford' philosophy. All he could retort was that the best players, 'world class' cost these vast sums. Fcuk off you fool, your clubs are causing the issue and hence why we, and clubs of our size now have 'mediocre' players earning an excessive £70k per week. The game requires some form of controls to earnings but we know this will never happen.

Let's guarantee ourselves with one thing though, the breakaway clubs will go unpunished, the Yank owners will teflon it out, and in a year or two reforms will be made by stealth that makes the cartel clubs get a larger share of the spoils at our expense. We cannot really whinge either when we were part of the root cause, ie happy to become part of the founders of the PL breakaway when the rot really began.

Shame they don’t make that much noise inside the ground.

POTD (so far)
My thoughts over the last week have been that these "supporters" were more than happy to celebrate the spoils the Billionaires were throwing at players who readily accepted the dosh, but when the owners want to get some of their money back they're all up in arms
These events have been bubbling for years and the protesters will start screaming that any new owner that comes in, not many of these blokes around, does not spend even more millions that they can't afford either
And as for the players, i think it's been said before, but what did they do when the clubs had no income from the gates, take a paycut? No, a pay break only so they didn't lose out at all

Arsenal 0 Everton 1, Everton 8th a good few points ahead of Arsenal in 9th. Arsenal get invited, Everton don't, even though they are the better team. This sums up the unfairness of the super league and as hypocritical as it might be, at least the fans of the top clubs have resisted this.

The biggest root problem is players demanding rediculous amounts, and clubs paying it to continue being the best. This is the hypocrisy of the protests too, how many of us and other fans will take a stand and stop buying tickets and sky packages to stop this madness which is ruining the game?

No one said it had anything to do with fairness or league positions. It was all about who you are. As for players and ridiculous wages. The agents ask for them because they know the clubs will pay them. I am sure all of us would push for top dollar if we thought we could get it. Blame the clubs. They are the ones blowing their money on huge transfer fees and wages.

Although Everton are arguably a huge club, moving into a massive stadium very soon. Arsenal get invited, they don't. And clubs are doing this because they can afford to. If they can afford it, why wouldn't the clubs try to sign the best players? The clubs are seeking the money they know they can get from sky etc. And sky know they can get it from the fans. This will continue all the while they have the ability to do it and the players / agents will gladly take the money. There needs to be a transfer cap, wage cap or something otherwise, this super league will come out in another form sooner or later.
