Levante Game Matchday Thread on 23:27 - Aug 4 with 908 views | dirk_doone | Jack Stephens and Fraser Forster were outstanding. We saw the future tonight when an Irish striker who was on the subs bench at Bournemouth last season came on and the Northam rejoiced in singing his name. We now know why he's been playing in all the pre-season games. Credit to the 5 Levante fans in the bottom corner of the Northam who kept us all entertained when the action on the pitch flagged. I thought the chant when we scored of "You're not singing any more" was a tad unfair as they never stopped. [Post edited 4 Aug 2021 23:32]

That's why we won. If McCarthy had played, we'd have lost that game as Forster made 2 outstanding saves, the first of which was a real worldy. Romeu was excellent but I was not impressed by Adams. He huffed and puffed but never looked like scoring. Man of the Match was Jack Stephens. Levante finished 14th in La Liga and they looked about that standard. The one player who really impressed me was their central midfielder, #24, José Campaña, who's improved a lot since his Crystal Palace days. He even won his first cap for Spain last year and you can see why. If Ward-Prowse is sold, he'd make a good replacement. [Post edited 4 Aug 2021 23:42]

You could well be right there. Maybe he suffers from big match nerves. He was outstanding tonight though.

If he’s announced in the team at 2pm a week Saturday I shall be staying in pub in Mathews Street.

Adam’s link up play was good and his ball to set up Kwp for the goal was excellent I agree his scoring efforts need improving tho!
