Watch them push for as many postponements as possible over the next few weeks, now that Saint-Maximin and Wilson are injured, and they won’t have had time to make the signings they want to make.

If our game gets played on Jan 2nd, I’ll be amazed…..

Well the PL are a bit like us, with how inconsistent they are, when it comes down to postponing games. As they’ve done it loads, but then have also rejected a few (like Chelsea’s requests last week), although I’d really be interested to see of just how many COVID cases they needed/have had, for a game to get postponed.
As I think those that are complaining about injuries and their damage to their squad are pathetic as that’s just how football, or just sport, or even life! Works in general.
So unless Newcastle have less than 18 players available from their first or B team (with at least like 6 out with Covid or such), then the game should go ahead, but whether that happens, I’ve got no idea whatsoever!
But at least Wilson probably won’t play us as he’s meant to be out for months now, but for who they sign and such, well that’s why we wanna play them on Saturday.

Saint-Maximin is the one.

Has been our Achilles heel on a number of occasions.

There is absolutely no way we will be playing them on Saturday.

It is currently scheduled for a 2pm kick off on Sunday 2nd January.

Of course, you were right, Pat. Teams are beginning to use Covid tactically when they have key players injured:

Disgraceful. They should be forced to call up some b team players like Saints had to last season. Vile club, and this covid bullshit is a joke.

Absolute coonts.

The Prem are too spineless to stand up to them.

Bet they play hardly any games in January.
